Electrochemical Oscillations during Copper Electrodissolution in Hydrochloric Acid Solution
International Journal of Electrochemical Science
The electrodissolution process of copper anode is widely used in industrial copper-processing, such as electrolysis, electroplating, electrocatalysis, corrosion, and electric machining. Industrial electrochemical processes generally accompany spatiotemporal electrochemical oscillation (EO) phenomena. In this study, the mechanism of periodic EO in the Cu electro-oxidation of hydrochloric acid solution was systematically investigated through experimentation and simulation.
