A B S T R A C T This study aims to explore the effects of the segmentation of video tutorials on the implicit and explicit experience of the users in the hands-on training tasks. A laboratory experiment was conducted in the context of user training. Participants (n ¼ 20) were randomly assigned to one of two experimental conditions: with segmented or nonsegmented versions of the same video tutorials. The participants had to watch an instructional video and recreate afterward the steps presented.
