The article tries to highlight some aspects related to the mapping of toponyms and anthroponyms, in the Romanian space and also at a larger level (European, world). In the case of the toponyms we highlighted the repartition of oikonyms with the suffixes –ești, –eni/–ani, –ari, –ovți/–evți, –inți in the Romanian space.
