In our hospital between 1992 and 1994, there were 14 patients who sustained an injury to the lateral ligament of the ankle and were operated on in the early stages. In 9 of these cases we performed an end to end suture in the torn parenchyma area and in 5 cases a soft tissue attachment device STATAK (Zimmer) was used for the torn talar area our post-operative observations which were based on Selingson's scale indicated that in all 14 cases the results were excellent without any instability of the ankle area.doi:10.5035/nishiseisai.44.1446 fatcat:wmd6oep3kzhpleqk3yw7gxj6wi
