An Intelligent Module Generator Environment
1986
23rd ACM/IEEE Design Automation Conference
An environment for the generation of modules is described. It includes tools for interactive design of parameterised procedures describing the structure as well as the topology. For the layout symbolic cells are used which are automatically fitted together as defined by the topology. For the verification and characterization rulebased expert tools were developed to recognize registers, check the clocking rules, find the critical path and the appropriate test patterns to calculate the accurate delay via simulation.
