Weight and Shape of the Canine Uterus with Pyometra

A total of 207 canine uteri affected spontaneously with pyometra weighed 7.0-977.8g per 10kg of body weight when the contents were removed, 96.9% of them weighing more than 20g. Of them, 79 were sausage-shaped and 50 and 25 noticeably and slightly segmental in shape, respectively. The endometrium was rather flat in 32.4% and exhibited cyst-like thickening in 39.3%.
