[chapter]
2003
Quality Education @ a Distance
This paper discusses the concept of e-Ieaming quality, critically reviews current practice in measuring e-leaming quality and suggests several Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) methods that can be used to measure the usability of e-Ieaming. Usability evaluation and user-centred design are seen as essential to ensure e-Ieaming quality. Several of these methods were used to evaluate the quality of a web design tutorial developed at the University of Port Elizabeth (UPE).
