... ating the necessary basis for the preparation and transformation of society, and their architecture is fundamental to achieve these goals. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the importance of cultural spaces for society as well as their relationship with architecture, in addition to bringing proposals for the implementation of a culture and leisure center in the João Domingos Netto Housing Complex, a neighborhood located in the city of Presidente Prudente, interior of the State of São Paulo. Therefore, the methodology is based on a bibliographical and documental review for the formation of na analysis on the theme, as well as surveys and on-site visits in the place in question, since the complex lacks cultural spaces and leisure facilities.
