Abstrak Tulisan ini mencoba menjelaskan standar ideal dalam melakukan kalibrasi arah kiblat dengan mengacu pada permasalahan sosial di era digital. Di era digital, sebuah acuan dalam melaksanakan tugas kalibrasi arah kiblat harus benar-benar bisa dipertanggungjawabkan secara sosial dan ilmiah, baik dalam menggunakan pedoman atau standar operasional prosedur (SOP), maupun berita acara kalibrasi yang dibuat sebagai pegangan pemilik tempat yang dilakukan kalibrasi arah kiblat. Persoalan baru bisa saja terjadi setelah kalibrasi arah kiblat dilakukan, seperti penolakan hasil kalibrasi arah kiblat oleh sebahagian jamaah masjid yang bisa menimbulkan perpecahan umat, kebanyakan penolakan tersebut berasal dari dimensi sosial dan ilmiah yang belum sepenuhnya terpenuhi saat kalibrasi dilakukan.
