A study was conducted to evaluate the effect of different habitats (canopy and away from the canopy) of different plants on earthworms abundance. The specimens were collected from guava, mango, citrus, and date palm and mulberry fields. Total 480 sampling sites, 30 sampling sites a week (6 for each fruit tree) were selected randomly by replacement sampling method. The specimens were preserved as mentioned in Stephenson (1923).
