Understanding the genetic factors underlying brain structural connectivity is a major challenge in imaging genetics. Here, we present results from genomewide association studies (GWASs) of whole-brain white matter (WM) fractional anisotropy (FA), an index of microstructural coherence measured using diffusion tensor imaging.
