There has been considerable focus on the synthesis of metal oxide nanostructures because of their extensive structures, unique properties, and wide applications. The morphological control of metal oxide nanostructures is of interest for tuning their performance and expanding their range of applications. Electrochemical methods have become a common way of controlling the morphologies of metal oxides, owing to their simple operation, ease of control, and flexible modes. This paper presents a

We will also discuss the crystal growth mechanism and the morphology control of different metal oxides during the electrochemical deposition process, which lays the foundation for orientation design and fabrication of functional materials.
