Spectral morphology in the open cluster Collinder 228
1981
Publications of the Astronomical Society of the Pacific
We classified 58 stars in the field of the open cluster Collinder 228. Using these data and a normal reddening law we derived a distance for the cluster of 2.6 kpc. Among the stars observed we found two shell stars, four double-line binaries (one previously known), and three stars with evidence of a companion in their spectra. Also we found nine stars with the hydrogen lines broad in the range B0-B2.
