Se menciona por primera vez para Argentina la presencia de Youngia japonica, una maleza nativa del Sudeste de Asia. Fue observada como ruderal e invasora de jardines en las provincias de Tucumán y Entre Ríos. Se estima que la llegada de la especie al país es reciente.
