This study makes an effort to develop a theoretical model by which the machining error for arbitrary cutting direction in ball end milling of cylindrical surface can be predicted. At first, instantaneous cutting force is calculated following the analysis of undeformed chip thickness. Secondly, tool deflection is estimated by the calculated instantaneous cutting force.
