Study on Ultimate Strength and its Evaluation Method of Steel Compression Plates with Rounded Part

This study deals with the ultimate strength and method for evaluating that of steel compression plates with a rounded part through the elasto-plastic and finite displacement analysis based on a finite element method. In this analysis, the residual stness distnbution idealized on the basis of the data measured in a steel stiffened stub column with rounded corners is considered .
