Her primary research focus is on the development of mathematical models and optimization methodologies for improving system efficiency and reliability, especially within the context of infrastructure planning, disaster management and logistics. She has led several international, multi-disciplinary and consultancy projects, including projects funded by the British Academy, the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) and Innovate UK.
