The purpose of this study was to determine if age and gender influence the achievement in high school mathematics. This study utilized the student's grade point average (GPA) for mathematics during high school years to measure achievement. The data for this study came from the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) High School Transcript Study (HSTS) 2005.
