Enterprise Computing Curriculum: A Reference Framework

An expanding number of colleges and universities are offering one form or another of enterprise computing academic programs to meet the market demand for graduate in this field. The programs regularly are developed by team of faculty who are expert in this area and in collaboration with Enterprise Application Solutions Vendors offering platforms in this field. Subsequently, the need for an enterprise computing reference framework has regularly been enunciated in an assortment of of meetings within the enterprise computing community. The goal of this paper is to propose an enterprise computing reference curriculum model at the undergraduate level based on a study of the enterprise computing program at several local, regional, and international universities, the industry needs of enterprise computing competencies, the expertise of the authors, and the best practices available in the scholarly community and industry.
