A descriptive study was conducted on 100 parents of children to assess knowledge of parents regarding thalassemia and its home management of their children in selected hospital of Punjab. Through purposive sampling technique, 100 parents of children with thalassemia were selected. An interview schedule was used to collect the data of socio-demographic characteristics and to assess knowledge regarding thalassemia and its home management. Findings revealed that 60% of parents were having inadequate knowledge regarding thalassemia whereas 40% were having adequate knowledge. 53% of parents were having inadequate knowledge regarding home management of thalassemia whereas 47% were having adequate knowledge. The relation between knowledge level of parents and socio-demographic variables shown that there was statistically significant difference between age of parents, education level of parents, relation with child and duration of treatment.
