The strategic solution to the environmental problem in the coal industry, according to the authors, is the creation of energy technology and coal-chemical clusters. Geoecology management information systems should be developed for each cluster. The simplest structure of these systems is given in this paper. The next stage of the study should be to set and solve the problem of optimizing the functioning of each cluster and calculate rating estimations.
