Candido Portinari. Arte/Educação. ABSTRACT This report is the result of work carried out during the years 2016 and 2017 in the state of Rondônia, in urban and rural schools, registered at the Federal Institute of Science and Technology of Rondônia Colorado do Oeste campus -IFRO, as an extension project. "O Baú do Candinho" originated from the Master's studies in Education, in 2015, at UFMT, under the guidance of professor Dr. Cleomar Ferreira Gomes, when we investigated the playfulness in the paintings of the painter Candido Portinari and its relationship with contemporary children's toys and games. "Candinho" was Portinari when he was a child in the early 20th century, in various paintings he portrayed toys and games and the blue chest in which the families of that time adopted to keep their "treasures". Thus, this work was incorporated in the figure of the boy Candinho represented in the rag doll and the blue little bag with old toys and images of the playing screens, traveling through the schools. In each place it passed, the chest presented the treasures of art and playfulness. The Candinho doll told the life of the painter Portinari, his playful childhood and propagated his art. With this experience, we saw that the playfulness presented through art or the art for playfulness, are manifested in every place and in every time. The enchantment, the emotion with apparent contentment, overflowed emanating from this partnership between art and play, spreading cultures and experiences from the past, in a timeless mix in the lives of the subjects contemplated with this work.
