Fuzzy PID Tuned by a Multi-Objective Algorithm to Solve Load Frequency Control Problem

In this paper, a fuzzy PID with new structure is proposed to solve the load frequency control in interconnected power systems. In the structure of fuzzy PID, four gains are adjusted by a multi-objective algorithm. The genetic algorithm (GA) is used to generate the Pareto front. The best compromise solution from the obtained Pareto set is then chosen by a Fuzzy-based approach. In addition, we suggest a new control strategy based on the fuzzy PID for the LFC problem.
