The prevalence of sleep-disordered breathing is increasing, and there are insufficient sleep medicine specialists to meet the clinical demand of caring for these patients. One way to meet this clinical need is to train primary care and internal medicine physicians to provide some of the care. However, trainees in these specialties often receive very little training on practical aspects of the management of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). We developed an experiential workshop to address this need at our institution.
