Applications of Augmented Reality in cultural tourism: The case of Bibliotheca Alexandrina

This is an exploratory study about the applications of augmented reality in cultural tourism. The application was 3D Video Mapping Show on Ancient Alexandria as a pilot project. Seeking to verify the study objectives, differentiated between virtual and augmented reality, also reviewed a number of examples, which demonstrate the diversity of applications of this new technology in cultural tourism.
