Particulate matter emissions from shipping affect air quality in port areas. Physical removal of particulate matter is difficult due to the small size of particles, tn this article the so-catted Steam Jet Aerosol Collector (SJAC) is introduced; a novel technique to enlarge particulate matter, facilitating its physical removal.
