A global view of industrial logistics

The term "industrial logistics" is a wide-reaching concept which incorporates various forms of supporting activities. In this paper, an attempt is made to provide a definition of the term which is broad enough to incorporate these various views. In a few words, there are three large categories of logistic support: (i) product support; (ii) production support, and (iii) industrial sector support.
