Radiotherapy for Elderly Patients Diagnosed with Laryngeal Carcinoma: A Single Center Experience

OBJECTIVE To evaluate the efficacy and toxicity of definitive and postoperative radiotherapy (RT) for laryngeal carcinoma patients aged ≥70 years. METHODS Data of patients between December 2006 and January 2016 were retrospectively analyzed. In total, 66 (4 females and 62 males) patients were evaluated for this analysis. The median age was 74 (range, 70-86 years) years. The total RT dose was 70 Gy and 60-66 Gy for definitive and postoperative settings with 2 Gy per fraction, respectively.
