Phytoremediation is an eco-friendly method for rehabilitation of mine tailing using plants and their associated rhizosphere microorganisms. Some heavy metal and salt-tolerant plant growth promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) could be beneficial in alleviating soil salinity and heavy metal stress.
