Dendrimeric nano-glue material for localized surface plasmon resonance-based fiber-optic sensors

In this study, we have investigated dendrimeric architecture as "nano-glue" material for RI-sensitive fiberoptic sensors. Dendrimers are immobilized on fiber-optic probes using a simple method that includes dipping, rinsing and drying of probes at room temperature. Dendrimer binding was confirmed by contact angle measurement and fluorescein isothiocyanate binding studies.
