Adipokines secreted from adipose tissue, are bioactive substances and have kinds of functions on appetite, energy, lipid, carbohydrate metabolism, regulation of blood pressure, inflammation, etc. One of the adipokines is asprosin discovered in 2016, is secreted by white adipose tissue. This is released during fasting and found in circulating nanomolar levels.
