Pulmonary Tuberculosis (TB or tubercle bacillus) is increasing in global prevalence, and greatly threatens the populations of developed and developing countries. Although TB is often associated with developing countries, this communicable condition is currently on the rise in the United States, and elsewhere in the developed world.
