Gymnopilus norfolkensis B.J. Rees & Lepp, (2000).was described for the first time in Morocco on Quercus suber: The first description of this species has been made in Australia. The macroscopic and microscopic characters as well as a color photography are provided. The ecology, the taxonomy, the chorology and the systematic of this taxon are briefly discussed.
