12 hours after inoculation. Furthermore, the increase of NK activity by IFN+ viruses was higher than of that by IFN-viruses. The Interferon-NK system is generally thought to be an important defense mechanism against virus infection. The present findings suggest that the IFN-viruses used in this study could be used to constitute an experimental model for the study of the persistent infection of measles virus in vivo.
