Computed tomography (CT) images with a low-dose protocol generally have severe mottle noise and streak artifacts. In this paper, we propose a novel diffusion method named "artifact suppressed nonlinear diffusion filtering (ASNDF)," to process low-dose CT (LDCT) images.
