We aimed to study the diagnostic utility of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) procalcitonin in neonates with meningitis. All the neonates with sepsis who qualified for lumbar puncture were prospectively evaluated. The neonates were classified as Meningitis and No meningitis group based on predefined criteria.
