The young were acquainted to the culture and spiritual experience of the former members of the Antim group, while learning to regard communism critically, as well as getting to know the treasury of the Christian faith. The vigilance of the political police, however, put an end to this paideutic experiment through the 1958 arrest and incarceration -due to accusations of activity against the regime -of twelve members and four students connected to the former association of the Burning Bush.
