Wind field over real topography has been simulated using a Large-Eddy Simulation(LES) technique. The results are compared with physical simulation results obtained in a low-speed wind tunnel. Emphasis has been placed on the effects of the simulation region and the effects of the ground surface roughness. Local wind field over the region of a few kilometers is found to be well predicted by the present numerical simulation, though detailed and precise validation is not possible due to differences
