Organizational citizenship behavior and teachers' engagement in Unified Schools of the Archdiocese of Lipa (USAL)

In every organization, employees with organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) and work engagement become assets of the company. These two constructs greatly influence positive organizational outcomes even in the school setting. It is in this sense that the researcher was motivated to assess the teachers' OCB and engagement. more » ... correlational method with respondents of 301 teachers and 69 administrators working in Unified Schools of the Archdiocese of Lipa (USAL).Validated self-made questionnaire was administered to the respondents and their responses were tabulated, analyzed and interpreted using weighted mean and Chi-square. As a result, teachers confirmed that they possess OCB and engagement which is validated by the administrators. It also revealed that school affiliation relates to teachers OCB and engagement. Meanwhile, employment status, length of service and highest degree earned are not determinants of teachers' OCB and engagement.
