The enrichment technique has limitations, however, because the Artemia spp. currently available selectively catabolize some of the nutrients such as docosahexaenoic acid and phospholipids. Decapsulated Artemia cysts, juveniles, and adult brine shrimp are also used increasingly as suitable diets for different crustacean species.
