The spondyloepiphyseal dysplasia are chondrodystrophies with selective and combined involvement of verteb rae and lon g bone epiphyses and metaphyses. It is rare familial disease and transmitted autosomal dominant except X-linked recessive in SED tarda form. The SED is classified by roentgenographic and clinical evaluation_ Three principle groups are distinguished: Epiphyseal Dysp lasia, Epiphyseal Dysplasia with Platyspondyly , and Epiphyseal Metaphyseal Dysplasia.
