From ancient times Romanians have been an integral part of a multi-ethnic population in Serbia. Today the Romanian population lives in about 138 settlements in the Republic of Serbia: Bor, Braničevo, Zaječar, Pomoravlje, Podunavlje, Nišavska and Rasina districts.
