STAGES OF ACCREDITATION DEVELOPMENT IN KYRGYZ REPUBLIC

The article deals with the formation and development of the system of accreditation of educational institutions and educational programs in the field of higher education in the Kyrgyz Republic. Objective scientific methods that have served as a powerful motivating mechanism for establishing and changing the status of accreditation. more » ... ditation. This was the first time for Kyrgyzstan to take so wide transformations. Number of HEIs had increased for more than two times, number of programs and students – for more than three times in 15 years. Such a significant growth of the sector of higher education was a result of emerging the non- public (private) sector with the possibility of non-state admission of students into public/ state universities.
