It is worth noting that the implementation of the investment policy of the regions is complicated by crisis phenomena and unfavorable political situation in the world, which causes a slowdown in economic growth in the country. The purpose of the paper is to study the issues of identifying innovative investment projects aimed at introducing modern information systems (using the example of Sverdlovsk Region). The leading method in the study of this problem is the statistical one, which is a method of quantitative analysis of a multitude of homogeneous facts, which in the aggregate cause the transition of quantitative changes into qualitative ones. The paper presents the results of analysis and evaluation of a number of indicators characterizing the investment policy of the region. Furthermore, an assessment of the volume of investments in the introduction and implementation of innovative information systems which ensure the improvement of the infrastructure of the studied area has been carried out.
