PECULIARITIES OF THE PENITENTIARY OFFICERS' PROFESSIONAL TRAINING IN THE COUNTRIES OF EUROPEAN UNION

The purpose of the study is to analyze the experience of the Penitentiary Service specialists' training in such countries of European Union as Germany, Austria andthe Republic of Poland in order to improve national system of future professional training of the officers of the State Criminal and Executive Service of Ukraine. Methodology. While conducting the study the following general and theoretical methods were used: analysis and synthesis of pedagogical, legal, specialized literature on the problem of the research, as well as generalization of existing theoretical approaches in order to form universal statements about the essence and peculiarities of the Penitentiary Service specialists' professional training in the countries of the European Union. Scientific novelty. The conducted researches made it possible to reveal some differences and advantages in penitentiary officers'trainingin some countries of the European Union, namely in Germany, Austria and the Republic of Poland in comparison with the domestic system of professional training of future officers of the State Criminal and Executive Service of Ukraine. Conclusions.
