The improvements in technological infrastructures define the background of our e-society while the developments in the cognitive infrastructure explain the foreground of it. It describes an updated knowledge framework for scientific research in eeducation, developing directions for comprehension of different analytical frameworks. Within a case study, it presents an approach based on classes of applications focused on metacognitive development in assisted instruction.
