Mobile Augmented Reality (MAR) approaches have been applied as an instructional strategy in educational contexts. In this respect, it is important to identify how these approaches have been developed and evaluated with the purpose to identify their quality and benefits. The goal of this article is to identify the state-of-the-art on how the MAR has been used for educational purposes.
