The goal of this study is to determine whether the reading self-efficacy of secondary school students of different grades vary significantly in terms of some variables. The population of this study which is figured by relational screening model is the students who attend the secondary schools in Adana. The sample is formed of students of different grades in three secondary schools chosen from the districts of Çukurova, Seyhan and Yüreğir in the city of Adana. In this context, the sample is
more » ... the sample is formed of 742 students attending one secondary school in the said three districts in the fall semester of 2014-2015 school year. "Personal Information Form" and "Reading Self-Efficacy Scale" was used as the data collection tool. According to the research results, it was determined that the reading selfefficacy of the secondary school students did not significantly vary by gender, however in terms of liking reading or not, it was significantly varied for the benefit of students who like reading. Furthermore, it was discovered that the number of books read by the students within a month influenced their reading self-efficacy, caused significant variation amongst the reading self-efficacy scores and that this variation is against the students who never read.
