2018 International Journal of Statistics and Probability
Data on pollutant emissions in Nigeria were collected across the states to detect any significant change which may cause harm to human health and the environment at large. Three theoretical distributions; Weibull, Log-normal and Gamma distributions were examined on the gas flaring (carbon monoxide) observations to determine the best distribution for the pollutant emissions. The characteristics of the pollutant emissions were obtained and the probabilities of exceeding the Federal Environmental
