They are unconscious of selecting any one religion as their own and 01 having laith in it. In rural areas they go to shrines to pray for recovery from illness and suffering, and to the temples for funerals. The shrines are called Ogamiya-san ( pray-ers ) and the temples Otomuraiya-san ( funeral directors ). In the cities the shrines and temples are merged into the daily life and customs of the people.
